From One Millennial

I don’t speak for an entire generation. Hell, I don’t even know if I even fit in with mine. I’ve been unintentionally trademarked as a Millennial so why not take the title and run with it?

I don’t have a lot of answers.

I do have embarrassing stories and ones that might make you cry as you read them.

I don’t have a degree.

I do have 19 years of growing up and seeing first hand the struggle that comes along with owning and operating a small business.

I don’t have an encyclopedia of insight.

I do have passion.

Originally I started this page as an escape from what used to be an everyday reality. I was hiding from what I didn’t want to see yet wanted to touch my creative and entrepreneurial side. I have a place in my heart for hard working family businesses willing to give all they have to one another and a community.

I believe it’s my job to share their stories and the real perspective of what it looks like to run a small business. There’s little to almost no glory in the day to day. Not every story I share has to do with business. A lot of the time I share what no one’s willing to talk about. I use my words because sometimes I just know they’re meant to be heard.

Follow along (or don’t) as one Millennial doesn’t fake what she’s feeling or doing. It may just be that I’m cleaning toilets in heels or standing in front of crowds sharing my stories.
